This is a delightful palace on the Grand Canal dating back to the 1600's, and conveniently located between Ca' Foscari and Ca' Rezzonico. It is also within each reach of Piazzale Roma. The palace inside has antique furnishings and is laid out as a 'lived in' palace, with carpets, curtains and furniture. It is almost like stepping into a family home, be it stately. Around 200 years ago an Italian garden was added to the palace (demolishing a series of houses on the side closest to the Grand Canal) and in the process gave this palace an entirely new and harmonious aspect that is still evident today. The palace has a fascination and character formed over the centuries by the taste of those who owned it. Collections and furnishings were acquired from all over the world, and has imbued its original Venetian style with something quite unique. The various rooms in the palace are exactly as they were and many years of hospitality have given them the experience to organize truly exclusive events. The palace has another advantage, with two delightful apartments available to rent, so it is possible to stay in part of the palace. The events we have organized in this palace include the smaller more intimate type dinner parties, symbolic ceremonies in the garden or one of the beautiful inside rooms.

The palace was built around 1550 by the Cubli family, wealthy Greek merchants ,and the architecture is attributed to Jacopo Sansovino, a follower of Michelangelo
