Carnival Weekend À La Carte 2018
Day 1. 9th February
Let your Venice Carnival experience begin...
Fly to Venice Marco Polo airport (Flights not included)
On arrival at Marco Polo airport enjoy a meet and greet transfer and be accompanied to the dock to take your private water taxi to your hotel.
Staying at the 4-star Hotel L'Orologio, you are perfectly located in the centre of Venice and just a short walk into Saint Marks square.
Morning at leisure, and then in the afternoon we have arranged a mask making course in one of the traditional workshops.
Evening free to enjoy the atmosphere of the Venetian Carnival
Day 2. 10th February
Costume Fitting, Wine Tasting and Dinner
Morning appointment for your costume fitting at the Atelier. Having pre- selected your costume prior to your arrival, this appointment is to ensure that the costume is comfortable and fits well. Only 4 people can be fitted at any one time so this is a very personal and enjoyable moment, the Atelier will make sure that everything is perfect.
Spend the rest of the morning promenading around Venice in your costume, there is nothing more exciting than soaking up the atmosphere and becoming a part of Venice Carnival. If the weather is good, we recommend that you sit outside one of the famous cafés in Saint Marks square and enjoy a light lunch whilst people watching and savouring the atmosphere. Be warned – many tourist’s will want to take your photo!
During the evening, you have wine tasting and dinner at “La Caravella” restaurant, conveniently located close to Saint Marks square. Here you will taste wines from the Veneto region and Venetian cuisine in elegant surroundings.
Day 3. 11th February
Enjoy a leisurely morning promenading around in your historical Venetian Costume. In the afternoon in Saint Marks square there is the best mask competition, here you will see many wonderful mask and costumes.
You now need to prepare yourself in costume to attend the Masquerade ball. We will pick you from your hotel by private water taxi which will take you to the beautiful privately owned palace “Pisani Moretta” here you will enjoy a magical evening at one of the most important events of Venice Carnival.
You will be welcomed by artists to an evening of wonders and delights. The evening begins with an aperitif, followed by a sit-down dinner with performances by professional artists, dancing and classical music.
The evening ends on the ground floor with a DJ and open bar.
You have two option of tickets:
Standard Ticket: Be seated in one of the smaller side saloons for dinner, than wander through to the main noble hall for the entertainment.
VIP Ticket: Upgrade to seating in the main noble hall where entertainment takes place around you whilst you dine.
Enjoy live entertainment including classical musicians, belly dancers, magicians, palmist and jugglers, commedia dell art characters, Casanova and more. Learn how to dance the minute with the Master of Ceremony and School of historical dances.
You can continue with this dancing, or make your way downstairs to the disco and DJ until around 2.30am when the Ball will end.
Make your own way back to your hotel after a wonderful night.
Day 4. 12th February
Breakfast, return costume and transfer for flight home.
After breakfast, return your costume back to the Atelier and the rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the atmosphere of Venice Carnival.
Water taxi transfer from your hotel to the airport for your flight home after your Venice Carnival Experience.
